    We have not had any problems breeding up heifers. I think maybe a skew in data since he is 11 but still breed avg almost for $M even at his age.

    Hyline right time 338 x rito 2rt2 of 0B5 RR Traveler. Her son is at GeneX. Keystone Hoover dam has worked for us in our area, northeast KY. Females are good, docile and not too big or small. Udders really hold up. Feet good.

    One thing to watch if breeding heifers is using unproven bull regardless of prefix. What I mean is yes initially he maybe calving ease but bulls can change epd wise and then you have a non ced bull. Could get in problems with heifers having to large of a calf. We AI only to proven bulls on...

    100% AI?

    I agree with above post. We do 100% AI on our 20 cow registered herd. Nutrition, mineral, vaccines, worming, heat deteticion are key. Our commercial herd we do 1 round of timed AI and then turn bulls in. But hitting about 55% on that and cattle follow same stuff as registered herd.
