There's a shortage on metal cased ammo all over the U.S. due to the treat of more gun control. Brass prices have been moving up for quite a while now. And try getting a hold of an AR15 type weapon!! Oue local Academy always has a shortage of .223 and 308.

The P226 is the one I owned and it was an incredible pistol. Never had a problem with it. It was easy to tear down, clean and put back together. I prefer the metal ones only because of the various modifications that can made. Another to consider and quite as pricey as the Sig is Springfield...

I had the Walther .32 PPK in stainless, many years ago. It too had jams regardless of the ammunition brand used. Got rid of it and went to the Sig Sauer 9mm which was flawless.
