    dumb to this redfornow,how do you go about doing that? I would like to learn to palpate, not really for age really just to know if they are breed.

    I am raising yard art (longhorns). Kinda like sidney411 earlier post about breeding services, A freind (but 20 miles away), and he is talking about 100 per at my place, I can't remember the full name. It is Hot Shot something. A real good looking bull, lots of horns, which is what I like.

    I'm not sure if it matters, but this is suposedly her second calf. I have been using the gestation charts to give me the ball park time. Which has worked on the rest, but this one threw me for a loop! Still no change though! Thanks for the replys.........

    I bought another longhorn at the registered sale last October. She was palpated 3mos.safe at that time. I have two different gestation charts, One said due 4-4 the other was 5-16. I calculated ( if bred 7-9 the the 3 mos. before the sale date) 280 days puts her at 4-15. my other cows usually...
