Totally agree about the disease part. I would recommend AI. Average is around 60% success rate on AI but the big thing is you can use super bulls that are proven calving ease and have growth. The big studs are select sires, abs, GeneX, and accelerated. I like select sires a lot. Very good bulls...

Also one thing if you AI is that you can use bulls who are very proven so you know what you will get.

If you want a young bull upshot and validation are good. Frontman has produced some good calves. I have seen a lot of Hoover dam and CC&7 offspring and all have been great but I understand you watching the $en. Just my two cents.

I like to at both and then some of the websites also give you ratios to look at as well. If you have a good rep I would ask him as well.

I have heard from other hereford guys that Victor 719T is pretty good. As far as loyalty goes, I agree it is hard. For example I know one of the guys who works for Select Sires, so I plan to mainly use them but at the same time ABS, GeneX, and Accelerated have some bulls I plan to use as well.

What breed and bulls from other studs are you looking at, if you don't mind me asking.
