    Lime Question

Round here they use to not spread a field with standing dry broomsedge, too much of a fire risk off the trucks exhaust.

    What is this?

I've never seen a cow eat one. I typically spay them with weed killer when I see them.

    How’s your grass?

Under stocked this time of year, couple months if it stays hot I'll be over stocked.

    Fence Renovating

You must have been getting some rain, nobody up this way driving post, grounds still to dry and hard. They can get them drove in, but it's splitting or fracturing the post doing it.

    whats this.

Yep, that all sounds about right. I guess I'll have more next year, looks like a lot of it's gone to seed already. This in pasture I'm grazing, cows haven't touched it, but there's plenty of other stuff to eat right now. My question would be, why is it showing up now, noticed more of it today...

I've got little patches of this popping up in the pastures, don't remember seeing it before, any idea what it is. Thanks.

    Bale it or not

You sound like my friends who say it's not worth the hassle, I just hate to waste.

    Bale it or not

That's what I've been thinking, biggest expense would be the baler, just about everyone round here round bales, there should be some in fairly good shape sitting at the back of somebody's barn that they would like to get rid of, cheap. All ready have a tractor and a trailer that would be ok for hay.

    Bale it or not

Round here you have a few guy's that are good and reliable, but they already have more than they need work wise this time of year. The rest of them are not worth calling.

    Bale it or not

It is fenced, I don't have enough head to keep any of the pastures eaten down this time of year, the rest of the pastures have more fescue, broom sage and weeds, but they're bigger lots, cows seem to like the bigger lots. Will mow them as well in the next couple of weeks.

    Bale it or not

Been mowing [ bush hogging ] about 7 or 8 acres of pasture every spring for the last few years, friends say it's not worth the effort to buy used equipment and bale it, it just seems so wasteful. It would have to be small baled if I did it as the land a little to steep in places for a round...
