    Cattle Blowers

    When I spoke to Sullivans about them they reminded me that the rebuilt blowers do not come with a hose, just the actual blower. By the time we added up everything we needed to actually use it, it was cheaper to buy a new one that came with everything included & ready to go.

    If it is not your brand you must have the brand inspection from when you bought the animal showing that you are the legal owner. I just ran some through with this same situation. They even checked for tattoos on the unbranded animal.

    Shapley's was very popular when I was young on the horse show circuit. I leaves the hair soft, not stiff so that may or may not work for you. Be sure you let it dry good before touching it or trying to work with it or it will be all over you. As I remember it was a good product. We have it here...

    Pretty Structure calf. I just bought a heifer by him last weekend. Really looking forward to showing her & most importantly adding her to the herd.

    FAIR STEER???

    18 months is about right- so you would want your calf born in the early part of the year PRIOR to your fair. Say Jan-Mar '07 for next year. That is a good rule of thumb, but can vary a bit depending on the frame & rate of gain.

    Look up the Cattle Show on RFD. You can purchase DVD's & they have a good one from Nathan Haikey (sp). Runs around $25- it's a very simple method.
