Do you not understand the phrase "at your convenience"? If it isn't convenient for you then you don't do it. I would bet there is several months in the year that you aren't using him. Also a semen bank is a nice insurance policy if something bad happens. It seems like it isn't a big deal...

TG, The numbers work for me. Traction's milk EPD gives even me pause however. If I had a cow worthy of flushing, I dont, I would worry as much or more about the phenotype as well as numbers. Based on what I have seen in the few traction progeny I have seen, they are plenty deep enough...

About like any other EPD, they were pretty good until they incorporated genomics into the calculation. If you aren't using the 5 most popular sires then genomics will punish you.. Genomics is a big load of steaming be nice.

I just really looked over sale results that I wrote down.. 11 bulls at $5000 and over 33 bulls between $4000 - $4999 40 bulls between $3000- $3999 2 bulls less than $2999 Darn good sale, hats off to the staff and the bidders. There were a ton of repeat buyers there based on the people I talked...

86 bulls averaged $4070.. I think only one bull below $3000. High Sellers were two Angus bulls from Windy Hill at $6300 and $6200.. Great day because I got to meet some really nice people who happen to post on here. It was a pleasure meeting M-5 and HighGrit.
