Backyard grassers must have come to the sale.

As I stated above there are plenty of less than honorable people in the auto business, but you can say that about just about any business. As for your 3rd paragraph, what business on this planet is gives their customers every bit of information with regards to costs and inside incentives? Your...

Backyard grassers must have come to the sale.

Your 2nd paragraph is flat out wrong. The manufacturers have fleet sales that deal with businesses that buy hundreds of vehicles. Dealerships will sell to businesses that buy multiple vehicles annually. The dealerships do stock the more base trucks when they have customers for them. I spent...

    Went for a tour

Similar as in: a) they wanted a trailer full of cash for them b) people didn't know how to feed them or neglected to do so c) stunted, misrepresented, minis or something else I'm unaware of and need to see a picture of to believe

    Should have stayed home today!

Probably from some people in the subdivision raising hell that caused the man to sell out.

What is a 5 weight? What is a 6 weight?

Buyers won't round up when paying you and I'm sure you wouldn't want them to round down to pay you either.

    Lasting cattle prices

I agree with this info. There isn't anything wrong with buying 5 to 10 year old bred cows and not paying up for heifers.

    Eleanor (Profitability from Jersey cows)

I wasn't thinking for the place you got him from as a bull, just maybe any smaller operators in the area... I'm sure the bottle feeding gets old after a while...but you got to do what you got to do

You might want to check with the dairy you got her from. That calf might be worth something to small operators if he was from a wanted/respected AI bull...the small dairy operators are having a more difficult time getting replacement bulls that aren't really expensive and it might be worth it...

    Sold some culls today

Y'all haven't lived until you drive a straight truck from Milwaukee, Wi to New Orleans, then New Orleans to Tucson, Az. Work in Tucson for a week, then head from Tucson back to Milwaukee. Back then the speed limit was 55 and that POS was governed at 60...and I won't even get into the brakes...

2 bull sales on Superior this week in central Montana just about made be crap my pants. Stevenson Angus bred heifers carrying bull calves, sold as commercial and for $300 they would submit registration papers, sold at $4500...I thought maybe an anomoly (sp)....I thought wrong...Sitz Angus...

Anyone care to give opinions of bulls in this sale??

People can bag on GAR all they want, but if you go to their sales, those cattle ring the bell at the top of the market...not just theirs but their associates also...so bitch all you want, but the market is paying and that's reality... if you don't like it, that's fine, but don't whine when...

    Eleanor (Profitability from Jersey cows)

His plan is something I've done....bought one that looked good, brought him home, fed him and let him do his thing then shipped him. It actually worked out ok, if it cost a couple bucks that was the cost split into the calves...have to be careful though, some states have dumb laws about where...

MR Ducks AR not OSAR, CM Wings OA, MR Ducks As far as the bull goes, you're correct. They eat and use infrastructure and resources just like all the other inventory. To me smaller operations would probably benefit from AI for a couple reasons. Firstly you're not using the resources on them...
