    Round Bale Trailer

One thing I have always had a concern about the inline bale haulers is loading them. You push each bale up as you load from the back, slipping the clutch on your tractor the whole time. Is this a concern? Or am I just over thinking it?

    JD 500 or 510 Baler?

I do not have any personal experience with either of these balers. But, I have never heard a kind word spoken about them....lol From what I have read, they are a bear to start a bale with at times.

    845 New Holland Baler

The first thing I would suggest you do is to go buy an owners manual for your baler. They are invaluable if you do your own maintenance :) There are two big springs on each side of the baler, you can tighten the bales up a bit by adjusting these IF your chains are not worn out. The best way to...

    Zero Turn Lawn Mowers

I bought a John Deere 425 zero turn about 2 years ago. So far it hasn't given me any issues at all. Seems like a good machine. It has plenty of power and does a good job mowing our yard. Going from a tractor style to a zero turn takes a bit of getting used to, or did for me anyway. For the...

    845 New Holland baler

    The book says it makes a 54" x 54" max size bale. 845, 846 & I think 847 all make that size.

    BALER TIE

I'm certain there is. It did come as an option if I remember correctly. So all you would have to do is find or make the parts. I have an 846 which is a bit smaller than yours. I'm getting ready to make it hydraulic tie. The only thing that consists of is a hydraulic cylinder, some brackets...

Anyone on Earth got a Massey Ferguson square baler

I haven't used it yet. Planning on doing so second cutting. Parts should still be available through your Massey Ferguson dealer I would think.

    2003 Ford V10 or 2001 Ford Diesel

Don't discount the V10, it's a good engine. I get about 12mpg on mine, puttering around the place and running to town on the weekends to get feed and stuff. As far as fuel consumption goes, I think it's about a wash. 12mpg at $3 per gallon is 25 cents per mile. What does a diesel get? about...

F-350 Dually or Single Rear Wheel

This from the ford truck site. http://www.ford-trucks.com "There is little difference between the SRW F-250 and the SRW F-350. If you look on the towing guide they don't even separate them, they just say SRW F-250/350. The only difference (besides badging) is the F-250 uses 2 inch blocks...

    Ford F350 with a 5.4 engine...

I have an F350 with a V10, standard cab, single rear wheel, 5 sp. standard. I get about 10-11 mpg on the average, that's puttering around the place and going to town once or twice a week. The V8 will probably do 1-2 mpg better I'm guessing.

    V10 F250

Here is a good site for Ford truck information. Scroll about 1/2-3/4 of the way down the page and you will find the V10 section. Lots of good folks on there and many discussions on the diesel vs. V10 debate. :) http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/index.php

    V10 F250

I have a 1999 V10 F350. It doesn't "guzzle" fuel. With puttering around the farm, pulling a trailer once a week or so, it averages 10-11 mpg. On the intersate, running empty, I get 13-14 mpg. That's pretty good for a gas engine in a 1 ton, no matter how many cylinders it has :) I too pondered...
