    DeWalt 20V drill

All of battery our power tools are on borrowed time, not many will make it past 3 yrs (Plumbing, drain, water main maintenance excavating and the farm). We use Milwaukee m18 for everything. Started out with DeWalt , and quickly moved to Milwaukee after finding out the DeWalt weren't going to...

    Looking for a different tractor

I don't know how much you are looking to spend, but I would be looking for something newer with mfwd. Now before everyone starts in about how great a 4020 is I spent 20 years on one until we sold it a couple years back ( also owned a 5020 for 10 yrs). It was a great tractor, and it basically...

    Ford's New 7.3 Can Fit In a F-150...........

Looks like Ford finally smarten up and built a Chevy LS motor lol . GM is also coming out with a new hd 6.6 direct injection v8. Lots of Chevy's already get sold with the gas engines I would say more Ford's will now too, especially with the high diesel cost and added emissions equipment.

Looking to buy a new truck

What are you planning on hauling with the truck? I have a 08 2500 Duramax, does what I need it to, I keep good load range e tires on it and have had 30k+ including the gooseneck on it before and the truck pulled and handled it fine. A dually will naturally handle the load better but won't get...

GM 6.0 vs 6.2 liter engines

That's odd the 6.2 in our Yukon gets 15-20 mpg. I currently have a 2010 6.2, 2006 6.0 and 4.8 and 2010 duramax. Nothing pulls like the diesel but the 6.0 will get it done and last a long time. The 6.2 has tons of power but I don't think it would last under heavy load like the 6.0.

Not a fan of a zero turn

What brand and model of mower. We have commercial exmark, hustler and husqvarna between me, my brother and father. We operate on extremely steep hill with them running across the slope. Much steeper than a person could drive a tractor or regular rider on. I had a residential hustler before...

Got a dozer to use for free :) What would you do?

Final drive, transmission, pumps can easily cost 10k+ each to fix if something goes bad. So be prepared for that We have trackhoe, dozer, dump truck, tractors, skidsteer, among many other things. Nothing gets loaned out, it never comes back the same.

    Water heater dilemma?

I am a plumber by trade I have several different testers and meters, I use a light tester with 2 short fingers and a light for checking all the heaters I service. Like this https://www.google.com/search?q=small+a ... 3gxr66M%3A

    Water heater dilemma?

Thermostat is like 10-12$, you can get a ac tester with a light up bulb in it for like 3$ . Either just replace the thermostat (if your sure you have power to heater) or get the tester and check for power on incoming wire to thermostat, then wire from thermostat to element, if incoming wire has...

    Thinking about new hay cutter??

Square with no obstacles, those don't exist around here

    Thinking about new hay cutter??

I agree, In large open flat ground a 18' trail cutter would most definitely out now a our 10" disk mower, but here it would never work you couldn't get it to into or drag it around most of the fields around here. I'm just saying there not the answer for every situation

    Thinking about new hay cutter??

How exactly does moving the mower from 3 pt to trail type make it so much faster mowing? We can already now faster than the fields will allow us to, and the 3 pt will turn around and be back in the hay quicker.

    Thinking about new hay cutter??

Well I used to run my grandpa's on a caddy and now run ours off the 3 pt and wouldn't go back. Lots of turning around and reversing in our hay fields. We just leave the mower on the tractor most times.
