Where can a guy buy a used engine or maybe overhaul kit for a ford 5000 gas. I wouldn't be objectionable to going with bigger engine out of a 7000 or similar. Any insight?
Could be but really they didn't have much trouble. I would be inclined to think it was a relay that powers up the pcm. I will do a little looking on my wiring diagrams.
Alan one word of advice for you is to remove the timing chain cover and water pump and check that the chain didn't wear a hole in cover. These are very bad about that and you will get antifreeze in oil. Just a heads up from one Hereford breeder to another. I have worked on hundreds of these and...
Its been getting to -20 here at times actuall temp we have been having to add gas to keep it from gelling up. All the county's road graders and snowplow trucks have been gelled up this year. they added gas to the diesel tank and no more problem. don't know how much per 100 gal but can find out...
Don't think the cummins is built by dodge. And would much rather have an Allison trans than a ford. I work on these P.O.S. things every day and mopar is my number one customer followed by ford. I personally like the duramax but hard to argue with the cummins engine. They are both good. but an...
Tractor was setting at dealership for a yr before they sold it. I bought it and have had a few little problems. Bad part is its under warranty and I have to work on it if I need it because they are 3 weeks behind.
Figured it out . It has algie or something in it. I was mowing today and I could take off filter. blow thru it and put back on and it starts. So drained fuel tank and rinsed out with gas. then drained that and put in clean road diesel. runs ok now. run it for 4 hrs today no problems,
Just got my new TD5050 home ( new to me) and it runs for about 1 1/2 hrs then dies like out of fuel. I can see fuel in clear fuel filter so I don't think its out of fuel. I can also see fuel in tank. I can pour 5 gal in it and prime the fuel filter and it starts. Looks like lots of algie or...
All the postal route carriers around here use the mud kings. They get 30-40 thousand miles on them. I run my own shop and can tell you that they are by far the best wearing mud tire out there. Have used the dynapro but they cant seem to get the same mileage out of them. I think the gravel roads...
Well they are supposed to deliver tractor tomorrow. Had a few little things they fixed under warranty for me. Washer fluid tank, throttle lever, had a small ( very small ) oil seep and serviced, full of fuel and ready. I hope anyway
Yep snap on is the best drill and impact driver. Have a 3/8 cordless and a 1/2 cordless and they both are old. both are used dailey and have never been sorry. May cost you but it is worth it. Look at it this way pay up front or pay in long run.
Just using to mow pasture and hay. will use with a 4x5 baler also. Just seemed like to good a deal. 700 hrs still has warranty and got it bought for 20,000. don't know but seemed like a good deal to me. beats the hell out of the 5000 that I have.
Well good, bad or ugly. Can anyone give me some insight on this size tractor? Looking at a 2012 BUT 2WD.
Priced right from what research I have done. still has warranty and has been serviced and run through the shop.
Thanks
