    You got it!

    What's reasonable?

I feel you deserve your money back for the purchase price plus the hauling. Not all over the country, but something reasonable. As for all the vet bills, I know you said you didn't want their stock, but maybe he could cover the vet bills with some more heifers.

    How about posting some Cows?

Good job Rocket. I would be proud to own those animals.

18 month old bull let me know what you think..

Time will tell and I think time will have good things to say!

    What am I missing?

I would do it IF 1. they agree to buy ALL claves, alive or dead. 2. a preset price at preset weight. I think they are great, but if they want 5 and you're stuck with 12 to sell locally at a discount, you could come out on the losing end.

    Survey

Took it and if I was in the longhorn business, I would use him. On brangus cattle as a terminal..no.

    New Herd Sire

Looks too "pretty" for me. He is a nice bull though. Let his hair grow out and let him roll around a bit and I'd buy him. ;-)

    Subjective Breed of Choice

I like shorthorns for the color variety, but have always like Pinz's too. Heck I really want a pasture full of herefords too!

    rare breeds?

If you think florida cracker cattle are rare...you obviously ain't ever been to S. LA. Hop in the airboat and I'll show you thousands in the marsh! Not to mention alot people have em just as crossbred bases here.

    This Bull worth buying?

Even if he's registered, that don't mean he's good ;-) You asked if he would be good for your heifers. Are you baseing this on the fact that he was used on heifers already. You also said you knew nothing about his bloodlines. Without that don't use him on heifers just because someone else...

    Thoughts on this bull.....

I have heard time and time again that if you use a yearling bull, he will breed, but will not grow as good as if he was avirgin until 2. ???

    Angus Docility

I agree that "docile" to one man may not be to another. However if he is a -9, that sounds pretty clear that he a hot head, to me.

    New Calf (pics)

That momma has a wild hair-do...and a bad quarter to boot. Raisin that calf though.

    hypothetical query

I see where you're coming from Spoon. You want whats best to sell, but you want something different too. I too get so tired of hearing Angus this Angus that that it makes me not want any, even though we run brangus type mommas with hereford bulls. Yes they pay well, but sometimes a man just...

    Crazy Bull

I just can't understand why after he shows such aggression, you get close enough to let him push on your hips and legs. 2 different sets of two word phrases.....axe handle .... sale barn. If not I can see you "mysteriously" disappearing from these boards.
