    drain hydraulic fluid?

It not just the fact that I sell JD that I feel the way I do. I come by it honest. Our family farm purchased an A John Deere in 1938 and thats been the first and only color on the farm since. I will 100% agree that its the dealer that makes a difference in what you run. We have just been...

    drain hydraulic fluid?

Thats fine. If I owned a Kubota id claim to like it too :D All I can say is we have NEVER had a clutch or brake lining come apart and we have ALWAYS used JD parts and fluid. We have over 6000 hours on our oldest tractor and about 2000 on our other two. You keep your orange stuff, Ill keep my...

    drain hydraulic fluid?

The biggest complaints I get from my customers that own JD and Kubota is that the Kubota parts are WAY higher than JD parts. Even with a discount I dont see how its cheaper in the long run. Ive seen it too many times to count. Loose a deal to Kubota an a tractor and 8 out of 10 customers that...

    drain hydraulic fluid?

Well all I can tell you is when I worked parts I kept a brake disk and a clutch disk under the counter that had come apart from using cheap hydraulic fluid. You can get away with the universal fluid in the older tractors. On the newer tractors with power quad transmissions and wet brakes I...

    drain hydraulic fluid?

I have seen wet clutch and brake linings come apart in new John Deere tractors when customers were too cheap to run John Deere fluid. The universal fluid says it meets JD specs, but its outdated specs. If it were mine I would change the older deere over to HyGaurd and be done with it.

    Which UTV ????

The kubotas are terrible in my opinion. The hydrostatic transmission will send the passenger flying through the front windshield if you arent carefull. They are also heavy and rough riding. If you are looking for speed, look at Polaris or Yamaha. For work and play look at the Deere 620i...

    Bale Trak Monitor

    Dodge Cummins Problem

As far as I know 2002 was the last year with the lift pump on the block. 2004 should have the pump in the tank.

    tractor accident

I turned an old JD 2010 tricycle tractor over on its side several years ago. Had a bale of hay on the front end loader and hit well curb with my back tire. Layed over real slow. It had a roll bar but no seat belt. I hit the ground running as it was coming over. My friend in the hay truck...

6000 John Deere series vs. 7000 JD series

The 6000 series are shorter. They have a 4 cyl engine and the 7000 series have a 6 cyl. The 6000 series will pull a baler fine. Try to stay with the larger sizes like the 6420. those are 90 hp at the pto. They do not ride quite as smooth as the 7000 b/c of being shorter but the price is a...

    Diesel vs. Gas

Mine is an 02 Dodge 2500 24 valve 5.9 Cummins. No modifications at all. If im gentle with it I can get 18-19 on the highway. Most of the time around town I get about 15. Pulling a load 10-14 depending on how heavy.

    New Tractor?

I will not own anything but a John Deere. You pay more for them for sure but they hold their value so much better than ANYTHING else its not even funny. I sell John Deere but thats not why I recommend them. Our wholesellers consistantly give thousands more for Deere trade ins over other...

    Diesel vs. Gas

Wow. As if I needed another reason to run away from a non 7.3 Ford as fast as i could. That thing looks SCARY expensive to maintain. I love my 5.9 Cummins. I just wish it could be in a different body :D I am in the process of getting a gas burner half ton farm truck to run around in and...
