    Thoughts on this bull

I live nearby Butchs Angus. They have been in the business for a long time and have very nice cattle. Some of our first registered cows came from Butchs. I think he's a good looking bull and has a nice epd profile. His numbers would work in our program. I may be wrong but I think Paul Meier...

    Shopping List and Tank Inventory

We like how thick and stout they are and all of them are over 500lbs at 150 days old. He hits the carcass scores for us and his feet scores are solid as well as HP and docility. We like a little more milk for our area but have cows we can pair him with. Time will tell how his daughters do.

Thats around the time we will be calving too. And with what we are seeing from Diablo, we wish we would have used him this year too. He's definitely on the radar for this coming breeding season

    MEAD magnitude

Yes about the warts. Hes all cleared up now that was back in August and they were all at 12 months of age. I will get some new pictures of them soon. And with the freeze branding we learn a little more each year and some still turn out better than others.

These pictures are from back in the summer. But the bull did his cleanup well and kept good body condition and is continuing to grow. The heifers will be preg checked in a couple of weeks.

    MEAD magnitude

We like our magnitude calves. We had good conception rate from him and ended up with a nice bull from him as well as a few really nice daughters. Daughters just got bred in November and the bull got his first duties this season

J+ Cattle Keep us posted when the calves start hitting the ground. I've wanted to use Tahoe in the past but his semen has never been available from my reps. We used Tehama Patriarch last year and this year on our heifers and we like his calves. So far this year we are very happy with our Diablo...

    Bred Heifer Sales ?

https://extension.missouri.edu/programs/show-me-select-replacement-heifer-program/replacement-heifer-regional-sales/ We sold some back in May the sale average was just over $2000. There will be one next week in my area so I'm curious as to what the market will be.

    CIDRs in the Cows

Great info simme I agree 100% with you. We just go the fixed time anymore but know our conception percentage would increase if we bred according to heat detection

    CIDRs in the Cows

I have only done it a couple times on some heifers I was retaining for myself. I did it more to see if I learned anything from the course I took. We stick with the fixed time protocol. Its been a couple years since I have done that. I work full-time so don't get to observe the heats a majority...

    Heifers

How do you like Rainfall. I've been wanting to use him the last couple of years. My local rep didn't have any available the first year i wanted to use him. So ended up using a son (True North) of his last year and his first calves hit the ground this fall. So far I'm liking what I see. Time will...

    Busy time of the year

Awesome I may have to upgrade eventually. I love how it records lots of data per animal. Just didn't want to have to get wifi in the barn. Thanks for the info.
