    Stock Trailer Widths... Does it matter?

    So I’ve got it narrowed down to a 6’8”x24’ or 6’8”x28x w/triple axels... Unless i can find a nice used one fairly soon. Any advice, pros or cons on getting either one? Live in ND, should have plenty of room for the bigger sized trailers in majority of the spot i can see pulling it.

    If you had to make a guess than, what would you say the difference in numbers for 1200#cows or 600# calves would be for 6’8”x28 vs. 7’6”x28? Is it a big enough difference to spend on that extra cost?

    Oh ya i agree it matters to an extent. Wouldn’t want nothing smaller than a 6’8” wide. But in comparison the trailer we own now is a 7’6”x26’ and can hold 12-13 cows depending on size. And the 6’8”x24 we borrow often will hold 11cows. Or does that extra ten inches make a difference the longer...

    I’m in the market for a new/new to me stock trailer. And have been trying to figure this out myself but getting no where.... Just curious if you guys think there is any benefits to having a wider trailer. Between the 6’8”, 7’, or 7’6” widths is there a difference in what you can load on that...

    S&S Duraline Stock Trailers

    I’m in the market for a new stock trailer. Curious if any of you have heard of Duraline and what your take is on them. I was thinking of having them build me a custom 28’. Thinking of a steel trailer mainly for the price difference, that 28’ would come to around $14,000 is what i was told. So...
