I agree with Dsth if your neighbor will let you run a few cows with his for the privilege of using your land for grazing that would be the best way to go. Any other thing is going to cost money and time, and it will become more than a hobby. Also remember cattle need shade partiularly down here...

I had a calve today from a Heftier that is only 16-month-old. I thought I had got her away from a bull earl enough... but evidently, I didn't. Calf and mom are doing fine.
