    Alum Trailers

    Spend the money. Get a Wilson and you won't ever have to buy another trailer again unless you get it into a wreck. Those are the best trailers out there.

    Protein/Mineral Tubs

    We use the sweetpro tubs too. The cattle stay in good condition. Price is higher, but the product is better utilized by the cattle as opposed the the other products using molasses and urea. Just be sure to monitor consumption so that you can select the correct tubs for the types of conditions...

    Today's sale

    Those are big ranges. I would only be guessing as I wasn't at the sale either, but I think color has alot to do with the range in prices. The black cattle always sell much higher than reds or whites.

    Made the swap !!

    Dodge trucks do not get chips. They get programmers. As for a 2000, the Edge or Smarty should work fine. These programmers will only add so much based on what the rest of the engine modifications can support. Yes, you can get better economy and a bit more power, but it will not be as advertized...

    Help please!

    If a rope halter wont hold him, you can always build one out of 1/4" chain and connectors. I have done this before as I also had a steer some 20+ years ago that was the same way. Needless to say, he never broke the halter again. Just be sure to use good rope on the halter or it will be the next...

    Fence repairs

    Another real quick, but maybe not as strong is to just use a small roll of snow fence. Just takes a few minutes to tie up with baling twine or zip ties. Can be removed easily enough and rolled up for later use. Works great for those late night car through fence scenarios when the permanent fix...
