I am in process of cutting and baling a lot of warm season natural grass, mainly switch grass, blue stem etc. I have read it is very high in protien and I do know the yield is great. Anybody else on board with this type grass?

I have a hydraulic motor that I would like to put on a wire reel for rolling up old fence wire. I thought of mounting it on an old pond scoop 3 point hitch frame and rigging up a reel somehow. Has anyone done this or got any ideas. I have seen a couple on youtube that appear to work pretty well...

It fills so fast as the windrows are large and the hay is so dry I wonder if it's just the material? I wish I had something else to bale while it's hooked up. A mechanic just told me to raise the door(and set the guard to keep it from falling) and unhook the lines going into the cylinder to see...

The manual says it is either the remote on the tractor or cylinder on the baler and to see JD dealer. I have a while before baling again so I'll probalby do the seal kit on the cylinders. I guess at least I know it's not the tractor from unplugging the lines and it still did it....

Unhooked the hoses and the door still went up. I can raise the door all the way up and it holds....would it not leak both ways if it's the valve or cylinders?

I'll give it a whirl this afternoon. Got 3 short little windrows to do and that'll be it. Been a long hot week in the hayfield but if we don't get rain might not be anymore.

Will the fluid not leak out of the hose if it's unplugged? Thanks I'll give that a try.....I suspect the valve on the tractor also. This baler doesn't have latches just the hydraulics holding it shut....or I haven't found them. Thanks again.
