ive got a pretty big gv breeder just down the road so i was gonna see about gettin hfrs from him and then run a good herf on them, is that a problem or should i put a gv on herferds. or dont it make a bit of difference?

yeah i wand all the calves to be black. if i use the angus herf i would use a black limo or gelb. if i had gelb herf cows i would use an angus bull.

finally talked my dad into starting an f1 herd instead of a mutt herd, and ive got two choices and cant make my mind up, either angus x hereford, or gelpvieh x hereford. hoping i could get some advise.

i finish all my calves out, and i would use a char but the gray calves dont sell as well in my market. im looking for black or bwf calves.

just wondering what i should use for a terminal sire on true black baldie cows, a pure bred limo or an angus limo cross. also wondering if i did use a black limo angus cross would i get any red calves?

no, ive got the facilitys and enough small seperate pastures to be able to raise my own. and bred heifers arnt bringing that much in my area, even the good ones.

little bit of everything, black, red, and 50 or so char-limi cross. ive got plenty of good cows i could keep calves out of but what im looking for is a more uniform herd that i know all the breeding on. and i run mostly limi bulls, and a black baldie x limi makes one heck of a nice calf.

why dont we see hereford bulls like that in the US?

i wouldnt use a black limi, id go with a full blood.

im planning on getting some angus x hereford cows and was going to put a full blood limi on them, what color would the calves be? and if i use a horned hereford could i use a horned limi, or would most of the calves be horned then?
