    Fall Market?

People running out of money is my big worry. It's killing the automotive market right now - well, that and the fact that the OEMs and dealers took greed to a whole new level

Post your Best Cheapskate Stories Here!

Back in the 90's I found the stuff at Piggly Wiggly to make 10 sausage biscuits for 3$. Made all ten and ate 3 and went to bed a little nauseated that night, wasn't sure what it was until the next night when I ate 3 more and it was worse. I remember laying in bed thinking there's 4 more of...

Electric Fence Problem - Arching at Ground Rod

You can never really know if the ground is good until you measure it. You may drive an aluminum rod 1ft into good dirt and be fine. You can also put 3 of them into bad ground and have nothing. Rock seems to be the determining factor around here. I have some places where I just can't get a ground...

Electric Fence Problem - Arching at Ground Rod

Not really, the problem is likely the ground you're on if you have a lot of rock. Measure your voltage between the ground output and earth ground. Should be zero but a couple hundred volts isn't terrible. If it measures low then your problem is not ground.

Electric Fence Problem - Arching at Ground Rod

your lost voltage is between your ground output and earth ground most likely. Add another ground rod several feet away

Did ya ever sell a place then go back and look at it a few years later and think...

Top of what? I’m about to go mow the yard for the first time this year. Maybe then I can find my pellet grill!

Did ya ever sell a place then go back and look at it a few years later and think...

...lab sooner or later. Got rid of the last tenant last year and have been renovating ever since. Sold our fancy house just outside of town yesterday and now we live on the farm which is nice. Unfortunately we’ve downsized and got bullsh*t stacked everywhere and it looks like Sanford and Son...

    Fixed income

I'm finally selling the house and moving to the farm I started 20 years ago. Wife just retired and I need to sock away some money safely. Shouldn't be a major problem to get short term CDs at 5.00%. Is that my best bet or other? Shouldn't need any of the money for the next couple of years.

    COOL passed?

China imports a big chunk of their food and energy. What happens to them if someone can choke off the Malaca strait? Any blue water navy can do it

    COOL passed?

I've actually seen a video where some young economist said agriculture is not important because it's only 5% of the GDP. Looks like everyone has this urban-centric view and it's getting worse.
