Even if it’s burnt we still have to clip it to get rid of woody and places that don’t burn . If it’s ground that’s in our contract we have to go over it.We run JD cutters behind 125 Case/Ih tractors .
We use 2 different hay balers . One with net one with plastic twine.I remove every piece I can . If I see a piece on spindle I stop and get it off . If I see see a piece in hay ring I go get it. Its all going in burn barrel .
Any one feeding syrup now? Started trying some distillers syrup on 18 weening calves . They ate a couple hundred gallons the first week along with good hay and mineral.
