Mom is one of the last AI calves we got . We bred 10 to angus bulls and the tech was out of semen in his tank so I said put some Hereford in #11 . He didn’t have any Hereford with him but said he had a blaze faced Simmental called Optimizer . So that’s where Miss Potts got here . She’s a little fast for my liking but raises a great calf and technically she’s my granddaughter’s .

I never had a lot of Hereford/black cross cattle, but of those I did have it always seemed like the ones with the more symmetrical blaze faces were the most likely to be high headed. Brockle face were just fine, but the pretty ones just seemed to be on the prod.

That’s the cows sire . Her momma was the reason she’s a little fast . Her momma was one of our first purchases so we put up with a little more goofiness. It’s funny but if you get rid of that high headed one some other one steps up to take her place .

She is definitely an eye catcher . She has had other calves with some white on their face but this guy is an exact copy of mom !
