I have 2 calves. They're both on milk replacer eating good. I think both are eating grain and I've seen 1 drink water.

Is this poop normal. (It was this smeared one of them stepped in it before I could get a picture. I'd say the consistency of pudding.

How long have they been on the bottle?
I'd like to see it a little firmer. How's their butts look? No droopy ears?

I expect that kind for the first week or so. Then it should get a bit firmer as they adjust to a regular schedule.

If I can remember tmrw night I'll take a pic of the one I'm working with.

Nevermind. Found this pic.
This is normal!

I'd keep an eye on em for a couple more days. I should've asked earlier, but what's your feeding regimen?
2 bottles a day 12 hours apart?

If the scours continue or they don't seem right back there, I'd call my vet and get some Sustain calf boluses. They've always firmed em right up for me. Vet prescribed so you'll need to consult with them.

I'll keep an eye on em. They are 2 bottles 10 hours apart 6 am and 4pm

I've raised 5 bottle calves that their poop looked yellow runny like that. This latest calf the lady that owns the feed store who has raised 100s of calves store recommended a scoop of this Probios probiotic powder in her milk replacer once a day. Feed stores everywhere sell it. Willow's had firm poops like the calf in MurrysMuts picture for her entire life of 9 days. Heck, last night I drank a dose. It tastes pretty good.

I took this advice. I bought some and gave them their 1st dose today.

Thought I'd give you an update. Poop looks much more normal now after 4 doses. Thanks again for the recommendation!
