Had an order in last Saturday for 10 heifer bulls with some performance behind them. Gave 14 to pick from and got 9 of them for $305 per head under budget. Feel fortunate to have gotten bulls of this quality, 58 to 74 lb bw from first calf heifers and weaned adj 205 day weights from 575 to 730 lbs for an average cost of $7695. There is enough performance behind these bulls to use on younger cows should we not choose to breed as many heifers next year. Photos of 7 of them available

Of what I can see, #2 is my least liked, I'd like to see a better shot of #4, #3 and #5 look like quite the hulks, maybe #5 could gain some length?

Interesting… #2 is the only one of this group that got used on heifers last year. The others weren’t. In flesh he is a little behind but was second highest cost bull I bought there this year. The other black is a half brother and was most expensive.
The American dollar made a difference this year as 46 bulls went to the states. High seller was a half Simmental x Black Angus at $23000 to Montana

maybe it's because he spent a lot more time working and less of it getting fed.. and partly because he's not red :P
