    herniated navel?

I have a calf that was born on July 16th. Her navel is large, it hangs down about 4 inches and it seems to be lumpy inside. Is is the size of a tennis ball. Has anyone seen a herniated navel? Or is this something else. In every other way she seems to be fine. There is no pus or anything obvious...

hair loss under neck & on head

My pregnant dairy cow is loosing the hair under her neck and some on her face. Could the cause be nutritional or parasites or maybe loss of her winter coat. She is new to me so I do not know her normal behavior of winter coat loss.
