I say a live calf is better than a dead one anyday. 75-80lbs is fine with me. BW control and high WW is the key. Good comments. Everybody runs their operation different. Whatever works for you. If you have time to pull, go for it. Not me!

But she's not eating any. I really do have a brain.

Any ideas? One day she'll eat 1/2 feed pan then then next none, the the next all of it. We've tried different mixes with sufficient time for her to adjust. No help. Lots of hay available to her. She acts like she has an upset stomach. ANY IDEAS!

That's what's so odd. She got lots of room to run, free access to all the hay she can eat, she's definitely not getting too much feed, you can tell by looking at her. Great dispotion. We let her try a feed for about 2 or 3 weeks before switching. Usually all we do is add and additive or take it...

Has anybody ever had a heifer eat spiratically? Never really good. One time she'll eat it all then not any. Drives me insane. Acts like she's got some kind of upset stomach or something. We're tried different feed and different additives, each with time for her to get used to. Any Ideas!
