Thanks alot for the info we have a pin to pin the animals up it was just a sudden thing when he died. The vet said he was ok then a few days later he was gone. Will be more aggressive on having the vet run test we asked him to but he said oh he is fine. Type of answer.

Well eric it is a close call they are about the same size maybe the calf just a little bigger. The deer are just so lanky ( taller and skinny at first) and the calf is short and fuller. We have 2 more deer due so hopefully before we go to Africa they will be here we leave June 28th.

I agree. We have a good vet by us but he his large animals is limited to treating horses. He did look at an alpaca once for us. Make me wish I was a vet.

On when the heifer was exposed. I am not sure we took her to the vet at the begining of may and he thought that she had about 6 more weeks. I will watch her and call the vet today. Thanks alot for the info everyone. Janet Brasberger
