We are in the market for hay feeders, that conserve the hay. What types or brands have worked on your ranch? They can be costly so I want to make sure we get some that we wont be dissapointed with. Thanks for the input. :D

    need info on preg check

I have been using BioPryn for a while now and really rely on them. Over the years of using this method, I did have two cows slip calves after 30 days being bred. I didnt notice since the blood test came back as .17 + (considered bred). Things happen! Even though Its not garaunteed, its nice to...

    Polled Hereford---Horned Hereford

We have used both Polled and Horned. I lent my horned bull to a friend and bought a polled bull for this year. I am using him on my F1- BrahmanXHorned Hereford Crosses and my purebred Brahmans. I love the fact that I dont have to deal with dehorning. Make sure you find a good polled bull of course.

I plan on breeding her to our bull Mr. Zodiak 134. I bought her solely for that purpose. He was the 2000 grey show bull of...

anybody missing a longhorn down galveston way?

I can not help but reply. I was expecting to see a cow fixing to fall over from starvation. I was wrong. We are talking about long horns here people, not angus.

    Bloated?

I agree not bloat. My best advise is to make sure they have some hay if you are feeding a daily feed. If your cows are bloated a tell tell sign is their left side will look huge. If you do not have time for meds or have them on hand. Start walking them for a while, more than 20-30 min. Cattle...

    Cattle Mater Gold Vaccine

I was wondering if anyone uses Cattle Mater Gold Vaccine? If you do, do you use it on pregnant cows? I am choosing not to administer it to my pregnant cattle (even though the bottle says you can). I was just curious.
