Running staight water in hot summer months?

If you have an air compressor, use it to clean the radiator and that should take care of it. Any time you're mowing you're getting a lot of debris in there and you're right about the air temps at 90-95 shouldn't make enough difference to run it hot whether it's diesel or gas.

    Vermeer 605J

I think that baler is going to need about 75-80hp. My main complaint with the electronic tie arm is feeding the twine through it. I try to tie off the loose end before leaving the field and put in one more roll of twine than I think I need to avoid that annoying chore. I keep a length of stiff...

Come Along or Yellow Wire Stretcher

i use the yellow stretcher, too. stopped using red brand a few years back because it has rusted within abt 8-10 yrs. the smaller gauge stuff is wicked with those barbs, but it lasts longer for me. my preferred fence is hog wire with two strands barbed at the top, but i cant afford it for all of...

    add on bucket hay spears

    squeeze chute

had an automatic head gate for years, but share the frustration of everyone on the misses because of horns. got a used southwest livestock one for $700 yesterday. everything appears to be in working order, made of 3/8" and 1/2" parts, scissors type front and back gates. feeling a bit of a...

Where is the best place to sell old equipment?

forgot to mention we have a really odd advertisement by one of the candidates for ag commissioner that is wildly popular on youtube at the moment...i don't know if he considers the ag publication corrupt, thieving thuggery, but i hope he doesn't aim shoot me with that winchester he's totin'...

    lube chart

i purchased a vermeer 7040 disc cutter end of season last year and am trying to find a diagram with all the grease fittings marked in one easy reference. they are marked in the manual, but only as a part of individual components. it has two gear boxes and i don't think the bar takes oil like my...

Where is the best place to sell old equipment?

in alabama our ag department publishes a monthly with free classifieds. i have bought and sold through there. i prefer the sellers there to the ones listed in the weekly classified publication that has a huge circulation around here because the recipients of the ag paper are usually farm folks...

Any one mow their yard with....

i am single, so i use a buckskin, palomino and appaloosa to mow mine until today, when i brought in a lightweight grasscutter, will finish (maybe) with a lawnmower. horses don't eat azaleas, chrysanthemums or day lilies, but they do seem to like a young camellia. never did have to worry much...

    White Spring???

Same as with two-legged reptiles, we get along much better if I see them first and can keep an eye on them.

    White Spring???

jogeephus, i hate those signs of spring. around here, spring cleaning usually involves a clogged culvert or two and the moccasins always keep me on guard. so do the kings, the rats, the racers, the....
