Yes this is her first calf. She is a 1 year and 10 months. She will be two in October.

I am breeding my cow to my uncles black angus bull. I was wandering how long i should leave him with her? I have had him here for a month and four days. Thanks for your help! Brandon

We had a cow to break her horn also and she is fine she looks funny now with only one horn :lol: but she is ok.

I was going to my cows in the barn but i didn't. I got to thinkin what i fit fell so i left them out and like you said D.R. Cattle they turned their butts to the wind and kept on eatin they were out there most of the day except for a few times when the wind and rain got to rough. :D

Wish I could send some rain to ya'll too we have gotten alot of rain today from dennis no serious damage thank the Lord! Just a couple of trees blown down in the yard and some tin gone off the barn but that is it so far and hope that is all!!!

We are going to batten down!! I am going to put my cows that I have in the barn Sunday or before if the weather starts to get bad i don't want them to go crazy with the bad weather and all!! Good luck to you too with Dennis. :lol:

What is the best bull to bred heifers having their first calf? I live in Southeast Alabama if that helps out any.
