    New bull

Im in north west Arkansas, near Fayetteville. If he doesent produce the calves that I am looking for I will butcher him. I wont take him to the sale barn. But I am going to put him with a few of my cows and see what he give me before I do that. And who do yall think I should look to for...

    New bull

Yes I did ask and I wouldn't want anyone to not give me there real opinion. And I said I don't have nearly as much experience as others. I just don't think he is as bad as some have indicated. If we all did the same things as everybody else this would be a very boring would. So Im going to...

    New bull

When I got home last night I took a long look at my Hereford bull and compared is picture to some others on the internet. It may be my inexperience but I don't see any major differences in him and the others of his age that other people like. So I'm going to stick with him and see if he give...

I see your point, problem is im already committed now so Ill stay with him for a few calves and see what I get then cut my losses if I don't get what Im looking for. I do have a black angus bull that is more along the lines of what your saying and he is giving me some nice calves. I just wanted...

Hoss, I can see your point and agree. My thinking though is that is what I am looking for in a calf that I want to butcher at 9 to 12 mths of age. I sell my "grass fed beef" by the package at the farmers market and I am looking for a heavy calf as soon as I can get it to the 700# to 900# wt...

    New bull

O, by the way 3waycross, thanks for making the pic show up. Im not sure what I was doing wrong with the pictures. I'm going to talk with him some more about why he thinks that. He has been in the cattle bus way longer that me but I don't understand his way of thinking some times. So based on...

Ya I know. He says the heads tend to be larger and it comes out at the same time as the knees do and that is when the problem comes in. I'm thinking that he had one Hereford bull and he tended to sire large calves and that was his problem. Not because the bull had horn or not.

I have read the help topic but it looks like I need to register on another board before I can copy and post the pics. Looking forward to the comments on...
