    What's a bull worth?

    In my thought $2000 bull on commercial cows is all the bull power your cows will need. If you are saleing calves across the scales at the local sale barn $2000 bull enough , so if after a couple of calf crops if not producing what you are needing , cull him out and try another

    Cow Creek Ranch Sale

    I left before the heifers sold. Bulls were bring good prices for reg cattle but commercial bulls were over priced and some spooky bulls got way to high. I live on 20 miles for Cow Creek, not many local buyers or lookers were there mostly out of state people

    What breeds do you cross?

    Right now we have angus/hereford cross cows and using beefmaster bull, put's just enough ear on them. I also used F1 Braford cross cows and Angus bull just out standing calves. When I was growing up back in the 1950's we used Hereford cows and Angus bulls to get black baldies and crossed them...

    What to do with fleshy calves

    fleshy calves are hard to keep in condition at next stop. Just my thinking form experience, you stated you have fescue pasture, give them some hay and if you can put them on dry pasture with no fescue and check the market each day and unload them when they are not quite as fleshy, but don't over...

    Lone Star Hereford Bull Sale

    Seeing if anyone form my area was headed out that way. Have bought form Lone Star before and very pleased with the bull's and they give great customer relations.
