    Animal Science Degree Careers

Oh so stressed! I'm coming here in hopes for a little pep talk/guidance. I have a year and a half left before I graduate with my undergrad Bachelor's in Animal Science. And I have NO IDEA what I want to do when I graduate!!! I have officially started to panic and freak out a little (it probably...

Do you exercise her? Also, what are her living conditions like? I don't know what part of Texas you live in, but if it hasn't gotten too cold & if there is someplace you could hang up a fan in her pen without her destroying it, I would definitely do it. Helps keep them a little bit cooler.

I'm a sucker for Chars... you definitely have a good lookin heifer. Good job on everything! & with more days on feed, you're lamb will fill out nicely. :D

Mini Herfs are the bomb! I love them. :D What did the judge say about your lamb? It looks to me like your lamb just needs more days on feed. In the video, at the very beginning, the last 2 lambs that came in almost looked like they were ready fair already.

    Saddle Pads

Good advice! I didn't know how big of a help they would be or not! Hopefully I will get this all sorted out when I go home in 2 weeks. Thanks all for the help! :D

    Saddle Pads

I feel like my best bet right now is to find a saddle fitter. Even though I plan on selling this horse, I'm worried that this saddle won't fit other horses down the road. I'd rather have a saddle, like one of these Martin saddles, where they have developed a tree to fit a majority of horses...

    Saddle Pads

I will have to make sure on saddle placement next time I ride her. So, if my saddle is bridging, that would create pressure points on her loin & withers, correct? Would those spots be wet or dry after riding, since the entire area between those 2 points is dry? Has anyone ever tried these...

    Saddle Pads

I had an older roping saddle which was definitely too narrow for her. She's got a broad set of withers, & I'm definitely thinking that is the issue with this saddle, regarding what everyone has been saying. I used to ride her in my barrel saddle a lot, & I can never recall her having dry spots...

    Saddle Pads

The Diamond Wool definitely made it worse because it's so thick. My air ride is in a much better condition. I will have to try that. I want to look into a felt pad, just not sure which brand I should try to focus on. Wish I knew any saddle fitters around here.

    Saddle Pads

I have only tried 2 so far, 1 at a time. The Diamond Wool & my Professional's Choice SMx. I know for sure my SMx is worn out. I have used that pad every day for probably 2 years. But the saddle did the same with the Diamond Wool. When I get home, I am going to try my Air Ride, alone & with a...

    Saddle Pads

So perhaps attacking was the wrong word. I don't plan on riding her again until I take her home for winter break, during which I will use my barrel saddle which fits a lot more correctly on her, as opposed to my cutting saddle. I just hope that this saddle is going to be ill-fitting on all...

    Market lamb update

:) So, of course, these pictures aren't of you showing so I would understand not being totally correct with anything! Anyway, you set her up really nice in the picture of the hind view! On her profile views, make sure you bring her neck up & back. You basically almost want a 90 degree angle...

    Saddle Pads

Thank you for the suggestions. As for the sort of attacking, I really don't appreciate it. Yes, I know it's probably not the best thing to still use the saddle, but when it's of good quality & it's one of the only ones I have, I have no choice. She has almost always had dry spots over her...
