It was mentioned on another thread about having lots of brands on a cow. Which leads to my question. Once the branding location heals, how do you know which is the most recent, or current owner?
It does take a while, but in a year or more you can't tell the difference. But the cow has your brand on it. Not very often your neighbor's brand. All cattle sold here including private treaty are required to be brand inspected by a state brand inspector. When you buy one they give you a brand release paper which only lists the brand of the seller.
