05 dodge dieseal exhaust

I have put it off long enough the exhaust on my truck needs replaced. Right now it has the factory exhaust and the muffler and all the pipes has rust hole in them and in places it about to fall apart. So should I go back with just a straight pipe or should I put a muffler on it. What brand ? What size pipe? Not sure on Virginia laws about whats legal on diesels since we have to get a inspection sticker every year.

We run straight pipe but we do not have to be inspected.

Go to rollin smoke diesel and check out the flo-pro 4'' system. About as cheap as money can buy and its quality stuff. If you're in areas that salt the roads a lot buy the stainless system, otherwise the aluminized should work.

+1 on the Flo-Pro exhaust. I've got the 4" turbo-back on my 02 Dodge. It's held up well over time, and I like the sound. If you have to get your truck inspected, I probably wouldn't straight pipe it.
