I took a 20 month old pure Angus bull to the processor today. He was going into a bull test last fall but tore a tendon in his left front shoulder which gave him just a slight limp. He was on feed for a short time last fall but has been on a 85 acre pasture with 10 other bulls since last Nov. The grasses are in great shape and that is all he had since last Nov. and hay & mineral. His live weight was 1480 lbs. and his hanging weight was 851 lbs. This is my first pure Angus and first bull so we'll see how he turns out. What do y'all think actual total weight in beef will be?
