I told him that the head cashier told me that there was never anytime for me to count mine and to just get started because she personally set up my till. The next day I got my till as usual,, but instead of going to my register i took it to the back and started counting it. She was mad and started to raise her voice at me and said," I already counted your till, now get your lane open!" I ignored her mainly because the manager was standing behind her <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite1" alt=":)" title="Smile :)" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":)" /> I finished counting and told him that my till was $10 short and she of course said "I miscounted" So the manager went to check it himself and she tried to stop him saying she would do it for him. He didn't listen to her. And when he was done he backed me up and found out that she had been doing that to all the cashiers she didn't like to get them fired. [QUOTE="Shantilly, post: 1089791, member: 21597"] being a former retail worker .. theft is huge by employees... i worked for a local grocery store as a cashier and one day the manager pulled me aside and said my till had been $10 short every day... I told him that wasn't possible and that i made sure with each transaction that i paid attention to what was given to pay for the merchandise and what wasn't.
