Debating on a sire to use on about 25 balancer heifers. A local seedstock guy strongly advised that this bull was the real deal. He bred many spring calving heifers to him last year and said that all the calves have been standouts.
Any thoughts?http://www.selectsiresbeef.com/index.php/bull-database-view-page/page?bid=313

-2.0 bw [top 4%] with .78 acc
.28 radg [top 10%]
$W 80 [top 3%]

cem 19 [top 1%]
hp 11 [top 40%]
I've always wondered why I haven't heard more buzz about him.

I custom ai'd 30 heifers to him this year. Buddy mine says they will pull 20% of them and they will be biggest Calves next fall. Not a heifer bull then for me anyway. He is a good looking rascal tho!

Not a heifer bull? 20 ced top 1% -2.0 bw
Expecting major changes when more reports come in?
Your Buddy's calves already on the ground?
Almost sounds like he's reading the edps upside down.
assisting 20% would be about -13 ced and -3 ced is in the bottom 5% of the breed, so 20% assist is almost off the chart.
I can't believe any Final Answer son would have a 20% assistance rate.

Interesting. The guy I spoke to about him didn't have any calving problems at all, but he did say that the calves didn't come out "tiny and weak" like many of the extreme calving ease bulls that he has used..
