[QUOTE="simme, post: 1658684, member: 40418"] With the criminal illegal rioting, assaults and looting over the summer, the right notices that bad people are allowed to break the law without adequate response and rightly claim that we should be a nation of law and order. And claims there is a double standard in this country. With the criminal illegal rioting and assaults recently at the Capitol, the left notices that bad people are allowed to break the law without adequate response and rightly claim that we should be a nation of law and order. And claims that there is a double standard in this country. Wonder if people see what they want to see? Wonder if we should all behave based on right and wrong? Wonder if we should enforce our laws equally for everyone - dealing harshly with severe cases and maybe sometimes showing some compassion in minor cases where it seems that might result in the best outcome. Without regard to any classification other than human? Wonder if 6 out of 10 people could agree on what is right and what is wrong? Or would that decision require a quoted source of an internet search? There is an old book that could be consulted for wisdom. Would we agree on the interpretation? I need to think about this.
