This year all calves except for one are sired by AI bulls and have to admit that it seems to be one of the strongest group of calves we've ever had. Many promising heifers are growing and bull calves are showing good growth and shape. And I know that there still will be some strong calves born soon. Here are just a couple young ones: Blondex and limx heifers, one month old. All were sleeping this morning... :) Almost all cows have calved unassisted this year. Had to assist only one heifer with a backward bull calf and one second calver, which had the first water bag out, but no more straining or any calving activity for several hours were seen, so had to interfere.
