I run water on each of my calves for 20min a day, this helps with hair growth. I also like to turn the sprayer on jet and push the hair forward with the water, this really helps. I blow for about 30min a day. I really don't use that many products, I guess Kleen Sheen is about it. You could also try a product by Sullivan's called Hair Set, I've had good luck with it although it build up in hair, be sure to rinse it out well. Kirk Steirwalt's Daily Care video is great! He has some really good tips! Good Luck! ;-)

[QUOTE="JstHerfIt, post: 269265, member: 4671"] I know what you mean! Herefords have the worst hair to deal with. Here's what I do with my Herefords, you also have to take into consideration I spend 80min per calf per day. First, I take and body clip my calves; it gets all that winter or old hair off. (Make sure and clip with the hair.) If you don't have time to do that before a show use a shedding blade and get all the loose dead hair off. I run water on each of my calves for 20min a day, this helps with hair growth. I also like to turn the sprayer on jet and push the hair forward with the water, this really helps. I then comb the hair with a few different brushes, a scotch comb mostly. (I alway comb the hair down then forward and then up in some areas with my scotch comb.) Then get out your blower!
