At a major sale, it will probably take at least $8000 for that "winning" heifer. The same can be purchased from a breeder for $2000 - $3500. In Texas and Okla. the MA breed is plentiful. At any bigger show, the difference between the 1st place calf and the middle of the class is usually determined by Feeding, Fitting, Grooming & Showmanship; not the price of the calf.</p></blockquote><p></p>
