[QUOTE="MoGal, post: 325711, member: 1346"] yes they just announced on the news 33 counties in mo have been declared a disaster area and still 20,000 w/o electric in St. Louis. The part I don't understand is that last month when this happened there were many in the city areas who became hostile with the electric company and tree trimmer services. So hostile that they announced on tv that anytime a worker was threatened they were to leave the area. Don't these people realize it just delayed having their service restored. Yes I realize the hurricanes were much worse but these ice storms and hurricanes should bring people together to help each other out instead of the "what about me" syndrome. Have we (and I mean people in general here) become so selfish that we can't look beyond our own plight and help another??? the MO attorney general is already talking about suing amerenue for not getting service back sooner during last months ice storm and I disagree with doing that, but then I also disagree the way MO already has a huge lawsuit against amerenue for allowing the dam to burst at Taum Sauk. Yes it demolished Johnson Shut ins State Park but the state is wanting that park built back as a top of the line park at Ameren Ue's expense and of course that will raise rates so that everyone is paying for that park.
