Thanks the girls had a great time now they are wanting to find more shows! Sydney’s pig gave them an April Fools litter of 12. The joke was on me this year since Jacob and Carla were at work the girls at school I got to play pig midwife. I have been telling y’all about the girls I failed to mention that the farm was well represented by some other hard working youth as well. JC purchased a bull calf from us last year the calf was actually sold as a split off from his dam at the Maternal Gems sale she stood grand champion Market steer. We won’t find out carcass results until the awards banquet but I looked at his ultrasound when they took it and it looked really good to me but I don’t profess to being that good at reading ultrasound. This was JC’s last GCA show so I was so happy she was able to end her GCA career with a Grand Champion. This young lady also won high individual at the national meats judging contest this year so beautiful and smart! Then Miss Tucker led a Gizmo heifer to Grand Champion Angus heifer and Reserve Grand Champion over all breeds! This heifer was a twin that we grafted onto our nurse cow. Tucker has done a great job with her!
