I couldn't find him but I figured he'd be back on Friday. Got home from work and still no Sam. So I went looking. He was no where to be found and the neighbors hadn't seen him. Drove the pastures on Saturday, still no Sam. Got up on Sunday and Started driving the pastures again, went by an old ditch 3-4 times and never saw him. On the way back the sun shine came through the trees and landed on an old dryer that has been there since probably before I was born and that's when I caught a glimpse. He must have been chasing a rabbit and got his head shoved in the hole past his ears and couldn't get out. Bad part is he heard me calling him and driving past that ditch on several occasions the previous days but he couldn't answer. I'm just sick. Sweet hearted, good as gold to my kids, and the best guard dog I have ever seen. I'll miss him.</p></blockquote><p></p>
