What could it</p><p>> be?</p><p></p><p>Don't know the conditions under which you raised the calf and whether or not the hay grazer was fresh or hay, but one thing I would do is spent $10 or so for a forage test of the hay grazer. If grown in a drought stressed environment it is common for hay grazer (and related grasses, milo, corn, etc) to contain toxic levels of nitrates and/or prussic acid --- both of which can be pretty quickly fatal to bovines. May help you avoid further losses.</p></blockquote><p></p>
