There is a big difference between the native born Mexican people in this country and the illegals that are coming from across the boarder. The native born population is just like any other race in this country, good and bad. The illegals that come over are for the most part honest hard working people. Personally I trust them more than the legals. I agree with you about the way the country use to be. It is what made the country great, the melting pot. My grandfather had migrant workers, illegals, that would come pick cotton every year. When they were done they would return to Mexico. They received no benefits other than a pay check. The situation has changed. Today we have government give away programs endorsed by the bleeding harts. The illegals have learned how to work the give away programs. It is costing citizens more in tax dollars and aiding in the high cost of medical bills. My people prefer to use the free clinic vs. the insurance I provide for them. As far as honest, I prefer them to the drug addicted thieves that are sent to me from the Work Force Commission. I have found the illegals to be honest and hard working. Contrary to popular belief they are not any cheaper. As a matter of fact the better skilled workers know their worth and usually get it. Someone made a comment about 6 living in a house and sending money back to Mexico. So what, I had 5 kids, my father, and my wife in a 1200 sq. ft. house when times were hard. In the old days most families were large and lived in small houses. Many US citizens still do today. Maybe if we had 6 in a house today there would be some money we could send to the bank.
