We have a calf that is over a year old and he is still sucking on the other steer calf. We have seperated them for long periods of time but once they are back together, he starts sucking on him again. What is this doing to the other calf? How do we stop this?

If he's sucking the penis/sheath he's likely also drinking urine at the same time.
It that's the case, it could be a lack of salt. Salt blocks aren't always enough to supply their needs, loose salt will end the problem in some cases.

If he's sucking other body parts put a "calf weaner" on his nose, it will poke the other calf and he won't let him suck.
