Hey, get up off me. If your priorities are a cow and not that cow by all means go to work. I work out, too, so I can support my expensive cow hobby. I might be lucky and live in an area where if my vet made me wait three days for treatment of a critically ill animal he/she wouldn't come back, ever. But I understand that not everyone has that luxury. I merely suggested calling for vet advice before throwing everything in the truck and the neighbor's cabinet at her because I know from experience that sometimes the treatments given before the vet sees an animal make any chance of a success less likely. I don't expect anyone to call the vet for everything. When and if you are able to get a diagnosis on this cow, try to get from your vet 1) a prevention plan in place for the rest, if necessary and 2) a treatment plan for any cow with similar symptoms. That way you have the meds you need on hand and are doing it appropriately so if it doesn't work your vet has something to work with. It saves money and time in the long run. I know you are a knowledgable person and I am not trying to be condescending. I work with producers every day and I try to make sure they have treatment and prevention protocols in place to avoid situations like the one you are having. Sorry if I stepped on your toes. :drink:
