Extreme exhaustion for about 3 weeks, chest pain for 4 days, couldn’t smell anything for a month (8 months later, still can’t smell skunks, flowers, or full port-potties in Texas heat). Found out I had Covid when I had a runny nose 3 days after my vaccine in December. Entire family ended up with it, we think initial contact was 2 family members exposed to a church secretary who had the “flu” but went to work. An uncle died. My Dad went to ED twice, husband once-both received monoclonal antibodies. Another aunt and uncle roughed it out at home, rather than get separated in the hospital (no visitor policy). Mom with dementia had a mild case thank God. I was taking care of 2 households worth of sick folks, barely able to walk out to the feed shed without sucking air (100 feet). 2nd vaccine gave me a sore arm. Couldn’t tell you if I’ve gotten Covid again since then-had a sore throat a month ago-found out a week later that’s a “different” symptom with Delta. My job had 1/2 of the staff out in front office (physician clinic) this week due to Covid positive kids or staff themselves. Husband has 2nd of 3 sales desk guys out in 3 weeks because of exposure/sick household member. School started last week. Even if you individually don’t get super sick, that’s a 10 day vacation that can really destroy business plans (if you’re lucky enough for that to be all).
